Just a brief description of what’s been going on…
1) My coat was stolen from our work closet, and mysteriously returned with a note that said: “To Whom It May Concern, I am returning this jacket I grabbed by mistake thinking it was the salon. Please, forgive a 63 year old grandma.”
2) I have participated in my first Trunk Show with my jewelry. I sold about 5 pieces.
3) Ross has revealed his passion for cross-dressing.
4) I have finalized my plans to go to Prague for Christmas
There has been so much going on lately. Things have been changing rapidly. One day you're in; the next day you're out... as Heidi says on Project Runway.
Today is Friday and I can't wait for the weekend. It will be the first weekend in a very long time when I won't have to work on an email blast or somebody's website.
I have just finished a website project for an emerging Bay Area fashion designer (katherinenoyes.com), and was supposed to stard on another project right away. The new project fell through and I'm psyched, because I will be able to dedicate the weekend to my new jewelry line that I started couplde of weeks ago. It's called e.L.e.m.e.n.t.s (eL for Lucie and elephants), and I will introduce it for the first time at a smal Trunk Show that is organized by the Spinsters of San Francisco and will be held the the St. Francis hotel on November 7th.
It will be exciting to see what kind of resonse I will get to my stuff, and if that might be something that I would like to continue doing in the future. Overall it's fun to do stuff that doesn't involve a computer.
It was my friend Robert's 40th birthday yesterday. He had a party in the golden gate park and it was quite fun. The weather was great, the Blue Angels were showing their tricks, dogs and kids were running around. That's where I met Miso. Miso is a half pincher doberman and half chuwawa. She was wearing a pink turtleneck sweater and looked very cute!
I usually hate little dogs, but I love Miso! She was super mellow and fun to hold and pet. I ended up carrying her the entire time wrapped in my wool sweater. This means that I’m no longer a small dog hater! Yey!
I went to buy twine today at lunch time. Man, it is hard to get twine these days. Most of the time people don’t really know what it is, and when they do, they get an expression on their face that says:”why would you use twine if we have duck tape?”
I went yesterday to
Office Depot and Patrick’s & Co., which is a magic old-timey store
that has anything you can think off in the stationery department.
Today,
to 2 different Walgreen’s, FedEx, and finally to Cole Hardware, which
of course had 15 different kinds of twine, and people there didn’t
think I was crazy for wanting to buy some.
Lately I have been experiencing mild insomnia, and I really love
sleeping, so it doesn't make sense. It all might have started with a
dream about a bear that I had a couple of weeks ago. It was a brown
bear, grizzly perhaps, but totally mellow and nice.
My husband started reading me to put me to sleep. Now, I'm scared that I won't be able to fall asleep by myself ever again.
